Adjustment of Status

The United States Citizenship & Immigration Services describes “adjustment of status” as the change of an individual's immigration status while in the United States from nonimmigrant or parolee (temporary) to immigrant (permanent) if the individual was inspected and admitted or

paroled into the United States and is able to meet all required qualifications for a green card (permanent residence) in a particular category.

There are many different bases that allow one to adjust their status and obtain a green card such as: asylum, VAWA, family relationships, marriage and even due to employment status.

If you think that you’re eligible to adjust status to a legal permanent residence, call us at St. Laurent & Associates so we can guide and represent you through the process!
